Journey
Journey are an American rock band, probably most famous now for their epic power ballad Don't Stop Believin', which was given a new lease of life after it was played in full over the final scene of the last episode of The Sopranos. Since then the track has been a permanent resident in the UK singles chart and was recently sung by Joe McElderry, the winner of the X Factor 2009. The band have also enjoyed massive hits with Open Arms, Who's Crying Now and Any Way You Want It.
Guitarist Neil Schon, formerly a member of Santana, is the original music prodigy behind Journey, and the only constant member of the band. Steve Perry, the band's most famous frontman, joined in 1977 and immediately made his mark when the band released Infinity, which went on to sell over a million copies. However it was Escape, the album that featured Don't Stop Believin', Who's Crying Now and Open Arms that has secured Journey their place in rock and roll history.
