C&C Music Factory
Biography
C&C Music Factory was a product of Robert Clivilles and David Cole, two pop-savvy dance producers. In 1989, the duo hired all the singers (including rapper Freedom Williams) and created all tracks for Gonna Make You Sweat, the first album release from C&C Music Factory.
The debut album peaked at number two on the Billboard 200 album chart, with the first single, Gonna Make You Sweat (Everybody Dance Now) reaching number one on Billboards' Hot 100. The group also had hits with Here We Go, and Things That Make You Go Hmmmm... throughout 1991.
C&C Music Factory released their second album, Anything Goes in 1994, but only went on to be a moderate hit, spending nine weeks on the charts. The album was to be the last the duo ever made due to Cole's death from spinal meningitis in 1995.
