Sony Commercial Music Group is the strategic marketing arm of Sony Music Entertainment UK, responsible for Sony Music catalogue releases and multi artist compilations.
Sony Music Entertainment UK is part of one of the largest music and entertainment companies in the world. It has a broad array of local artists and international superstars, as well as a vast catalogue comprising of some of the most important recordings in history.
In the UK we organised our frontline music companies in 2006 into the RCA and Columbia Label Groups, and in March 2007 also announced a third frontline label, Epic. These three main music companies also release music from many other famous music labels, among them; Jive, Zomba, J Records, 1965 Recordings, Syco Entertainment and Phonogenic.
The Sony CMG catalogue department is the home to superstar artists including Michael Jackson, Barbra Streisand, Celine Dion, AC/DC, George Michael, Elvis Presley, Simon & Garfunkel, Johnny Cash, The Clash, The Stone Roses, Miles Davis, Billy Joel, Barry Manilow, Jeff Buckley and many more.
We also release some of the most successful compilation albums and soundtracks, including BBC Radio 1's Live Lounge, R&B Yearbook, R&B Lovesongs, Ashes to Ashes, Chilled R&B, Edge of the Eighties, Christmas Hits and many more.
Sony Classical International incorporates the Sony Classical, RCA Red Seal and deutsche harmonia mundi labels amongst others. Our key artists include Yo-Yo Ma, Joshua Bell, Simon Keenleyside, Murray Perahia, Jack Liebeck and John Williams.
